FENCING

Modern Fencing is a high energy level, organized sport of swordplay that uses electronic and digital equipment for scoring.  Athletes play or "fence" bouts or matches of 5,10 or 15 points depending on format.  Each time a fencer stabs or cuts the opponent, a point is awarded.  Fencing does not employ sharp weapons and is one of the safest sports due to the nature of its ballistic protective equipment.
